Clearly some mis-understanding of the quality of certain companies. Transat is still a very iffy business. Debt is crippling. AC on the other hand is ready to declare major accomplishments by year end with respect to leverage ratios and early debt re-payments. It's also not trying to compete as a low cost flyer. 


Re Transat from the Financial Post:
As of July 31, its net debt-to-adjusted earnings ratio sat at about 13 times, an exceptionally high figure. Its earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization were $115 million versus a net debt of $1.5 billion.
