Looks like DEPCOM will be doing agrivoltaics. To quote Jenny Chase, solar analyst with BNEF (and a charming English woman who reminds me of a wise Hobbot): "PV only has synergies with *some* agriculture. Competition for light and restricted mechanical access to crops are often problems. Existing Chinese agrivoltaics are largely PV subsidizing bad farming."

As for Montalva, I vaguely recall from doing some DD many years ago that the soil quality on that part of the island isn't very good. There was some kind of contamination, but I don't remember what. Does that ring a bell with anyone? Perhaps that would mean GRB wouldn't need to try a similar gimmick. The fewer "moving parts" at this point in the process the better.
