One of the things about financials which IMO is not thought or talked about is the impact of AI on the banking sector.  In my crystal ball I see tremendous productivity gains coming to this sector through the use of AI.  If I am right about this, then we see above growth in earnings and dividend growth which to me is not currently reflected in the price.

While I still hold underweight positions in the banking sector due to my current asset allocation, I see the potential for outsized gains in this sector.  Once the recession I envision is finished, it will one of the sectors that I will be considering as an overweight position at that time.
