Tax-loss harvesting - For myself , I look at cleaning and disposing of the dogs out of my margin portfolio early . Dispose of in Oct and accounting for the 30 day buy back period being buy back in mid-late November . Thus being able to take advantage of a rally Dec /Jan should it happen in the particular stock.
But who the hell am I.
