The Company's downstream operations include upgrading and refining operations in Canada and the United States, and commercial fuel operations across Canada.

Like it or not, the carbon cap and trade law is coming into effect next year. This investment gives CVE a window into the developing carbon credit market. Better to acquire expertise in the functioning of this nascent market than head into it blindly.
