There are lots of practical savings and uses in the right environment for short range. Myself I am waiting for 1200 + and sub 10 min charge and I am sure they will get there ! I agree with much of what you say have a hybrid great milage loose about 80/100 K in winter if a real cold snap but still excellent milage and most of North American taxi fleets are Toyota hybrids many gettting into the 750,000 K + range on the original engine. Also Toyoto has been very interested in the future of hydrogen for a very long time ?
