Let's Not Get Carried Away With Multi-Bagger Dreams Just Yet

Let's Not Get Carried Away With Multi-Bagger Dreams Just Yet
1) If you're a believer in the Lassonde Curve, these guys don't look like they're anywhere close to reaching the start of Stage 4. Check out page 20 of their December 2023 Slide Presentation. They aren't planning to obtain government approvals and start construction until 2025. It also looks like reaching deals with First Nations won't exactly be a walk in the park either, as that same page 20 indicates TLG is engaged in "ongoing public consultations" with three First Nations groups in the company's effort to obtain permitting for a mine project (translation: the First Nations likely want cash or other goodies from the project in return for their approval). Thus, if the DFS is impressive, TLG may get a post-study bounce, but its share price may very well remain stagnant / dead money at that point until they can obtain all the financing and permitting needed to start actual construction of the mine, and if management messes this up (see MOZ), it could make for an unhappy ending.

2) I think you have to be bullish on copper as well as gold to get excited about TLG. It's not a pure gold or gold/silver play like many other Canadian junior explorers and developers (including ARTG and SKE). Calling the company Trolius "Gold" is somewhat misleading IMO. Then again, it's easy to find out how copper-heavy this project is by simply browsing the company's website (you know, that whole "due diligence" thing...).

3) When are insiders going to start eating their own cooking and purchase large blocks of TLG shares with their own money? According to TLG December 2023 Slide Presentation, Management and Insiders only own 8% of a company with a current market cap of only $125M. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement by the people who know more about the inner workings and prospects of the company than anyone else does, including certain self-professed investing geniuses posting on this BB whose current "handle" I won't mention....
