RE:RE:RE:Tmx pipeline My bad, I missed in my recall.
"No later than Jan 9" is the date requested by TMX for a re-think. I was fuming under my collar when I read that. If TMX' claim that delay would cause losses of $200million a month is valid then why not call an emergency meeting ASAP? Why are we wasting $6.66million a DAY of Canadian taxpayers' money by kicking this down the road for a MONTH?
CER may not have published its reasons for rejection but they certainly as heck KNOW what those reasons are. So why sit on them? Do they think they'll improve with age?
The CER spokeswoman responded to CBC via an email last Friday with a typically bureaucratic, fuddy duddy nonsense displaying their total disregard for their time-wasting and foot dragging in a matter that is vital to the health of a major part of our economy.
"In an email Friday, Canada Energy Regulator spokeswoman Ruth Anne Beck said a decision-making process and timeline for Trans Mountain's latest request is still being determined.
Trans Mountain has asked the regulator to make a decision before Jan. 9 in order to prevent unnecessary delays."
Time to call your MPs, MPPs, the PMO and all the ministers implicated in this nonsense.
During the wasted weeks ahead these folks will cash, thanks to the taxpayer, two paychecks.
You'll find the above quote at CBC.
