Settlements

  • Broadcom license - 27-SEP-2023

  • LG telematics license - 03-OCT-2023

  • Renesas settlement – 06-NOV-2023

Litigations

  • Wired connectivity – Lattice Semi IP

    • HP - Action filed 28-SEP-2023 in WDTX on wired connectivity patents from Lattice Semi.  These cover current USB, USB-C and display port that will be the standard in EU next year and next generation connectivity.  

    • Lenovo - Action filed 28-SEP-2023 in EDTX.  Same IP as in the HP action.

    • Dell - added to the lattice Semi campaign 12-DEC-2023

  • Microsoft - Now at the motions stage on the SRI/siri IP.  Trial 06-MAY-2024.  

  • Google action on the SRI/siri IP is administratively stayed pending PTAB final ruling on inventorship (the role claimed by Dr. Moran v. the recorded inventors, Drs. Cheyer and Morin). PTAB has had the final submissions/analyses from Google and IPA since 30-SEP-2022.  Pending the ruling on inventorship, the IP has cleared PTAB and CAFC as patentable and is ready for trial. 

  • AMD - breach of contract v. Polaris. AMD claims a prior license because on a joint development agreement with Infineon/Qimonda. Trial date not set, but case schedule calls for Dispositive Motions by MAY-2024, after which the trial date will be set. 

  • AMD - Wilan sub Eridanus Technologies opened an action against AMD on 01-SEP-2023 in WDTX.  

  • AMD - Collabo case scheduled for trial 15-JUL-2024 in WDTX  

  • Nanya Technologies - Action by Polaris scheduled for trial November, 2024 in EDTX.  Nanya filed motion of affirmative defense of license (see AMD).  Motion in reply stage.  Watch for implication to the AMD case.

  • TCL - Wireless Protocol Innovations has cleared PTAB and CAFC (action filed October, 2015) and is scheduled for trial 10-DEC-2024 in SDCA. 

  • TCL - Wilan action filed May, 2019 in SDCA.  Currently at PTAB with positive rulings on 6 patents asserted. Awaiting ex partes certificate from PTAB.
