Well said Dale. As i have mentioned many times, holding gold companies (explorers or miners) is not a long term proposition imo. in the past i have held on through cycles and it is painful and foolish.
Out in the high mid 30's - back in at the mid 20's - be around for the dividends. Take profits. Much more success doing that over the last 7 yrs.
Galnakon - it's like sticking your head in the sand if you don't care about the sector itself (GDX/J). How can you point your finger and yell at a single participant when it's happening to all of them?
The only problem with EDV is the elevated risk of West Africa...the reason for the discount compared to some others but that comes with it. With the dividend, it outperforms the GDX/J consistently. It would seem you are better buying the metal itself.
