Oh Canada ...Just what is the government's plan for vehicles for the Canadian North? Where are their voices heard in all this?
For a large part of our Canadian map, the sun barely pokes above the horizon at this time of the year. In some places, it doesn't even come up for months, and most of winter is spent in an extreme cold, dark, and windless condition, like deep space. So what's their plan for energy for these areas?
The idiots consider the entire country of Canada to be a narrow strip of land running parallel to the US border.
Are we really going to abandon the North by cutting them off from oil, force people to get around using electric snowmobiles they can only charge in the summer sun, and have them burn seal and whale oil for heat? What about the opening up of the Northwest passage? Do we just walk away and give everything lying north of Edmonton to Putin? All this for a futile attempt to reduce Canada's 1.5% of global emissions by half of one percent, while China brings on two new coal fired power plants a week?
This is not even a plan that looks ahead into a warmer future for the North. With warming, the summers will still be short but warmer. Winters don't change. We will be able to grow crops further north. We will be able to open up land and develop and settle further north. Vast areas of the country previously of useless tundra and permafrost, will turn to boreal forest. So what's the plan for this future?
Fortunately, the Liberals will be phased out long before ICE vehicles will.
However, if the current plan goes forward, we will certainly need to change the lyrics to reflect a more Liberal national anthem:
O Canada. Our home and native land.
Treasonous love, the eco nuts command.
'With saddened hearts, we see thee cry,
our True North left to freeze.'
From far and wide,
O Canada, we make life hard for Thee.
God keep our land, fossil fuel free.
O Canada, we make life hard for Thee.
O Canada, we make life hard for Thee.
Got oil?
