Enablence Technologies Inc. is a Canada-based provider of optical chips for datacom, telecom, automotive and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. It designs, manufactures and sells optical components, primarily in the form of planar lightwave circuits, AI and light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technologies on silicon-based chips. It operates a wafer fab in Fremont, California, with design centers in Canada and China supported by sales and marketing operations worldwide. It works with customers that have emerging market uses for its technology, including medical devices, automotive LiDAR and virtual and augmented reality headsets, which it refers to as Advanced Vision. Its products include coarse wavelength division multiplexing, dense wavelength-division multiplexing, LAN-wavelength division multiplexing, ultra-long delay lines, custom fab services, and custom design services. Its technologies include advanced signal processing, coherent optics and polarization management.
