White knight

White knight
an't we assume that the big mining companies keep an eye on the markets and also recognize when a new super cycle is about to begin?

In any case, it would be in your own interest to continually analyze your own business area.

And isn't it the case that these companies - which are themselves responsible for the declining or at least the relatively declining copper supply - look for new resources at the latest when prices rise?

They probably do this all the time, but increasingly so when we run into a supply deficit and prices therefore rise significantly, if not even explode (see Ivanhoe legend Robert Friedland):
https://www.miningscout.de/blog/2023/06/29/robert-friedland-kupfer-kann-um-das -zweifachen-stieg/

So can't one perhaps assume that other majors are aware of the tenth largest junior copper deposit and perhaps even observe its development?

Wouldn't a white knight be quickly ready to make a market-standard offer if, on the other hand, Fortescue were offering cents?
