US pot legalizationis happening! Sadly, once State at a time! The US voters are already in favour of legalization and the introduction took place a long time ago.
Without the political will to make it happen it is going to continue clusterfocking along with individual States picking up one State at a time. Usually a pharma conversion to rec use for adults.
US potpreneurs are looking for reassurances after their first successes to reschedule. They went along for the ride with the Canadian greenrush but politician's not doing the work to streamline the potential of this newest legal vice has invested players pulling back.
A few US MSOs have had good success navigating a quagmire of rules and laws while also delivering Pharma use pot skus and adult rec use skus, where allowed.
There are some deal breaker laws on the books that could easily be fixed with regards to InterState transfer of pot and it's skus and no doubt it would be easier for all concerned to have one blanket set of Federal rules and rescheduling pot into the right category, without heavy Fed penalties that are hanging like a huge black cloud over all potpreneurs.
Several alcohol companies have flirted with and studied on cannabinoids instead of alcohol in their beverages but most of them have backed off until the politicians do the work.
The US is the golden enchilada for potconsumers but has a huge black market player base holding on from their good old Cartel days and very little will on the part of the politicians to fix and streamline what promises to be a healthier vice than alcohol.
And the US was late to the party to even streamline the scientific community to have access to study on the healthful benefits/detriments, having just recently fixed some of the transportation rules for them.
There are politicians on both sides of the house flirting with bills and proposals to get this sorted out, but no meeting of the minds to make it happen.
I believe that Biden is going to need those potheads to come out and vote for him on the condition that he makes new amicable rules for the industry and he needs to do it soon.
Trump already thinks he has the election cinched and he has other things on his agenda than legalizing pot.
There is the US greenrush on the line to be dealt with or squandered and it would be a shame to squander such a money-making event by sitting on their hands instead of voting for it.
