RE:RE:RE:RE:Yup...Shorts will be payingNaked shorts also pay dividends unless the naked shorts are of the illegal type, which still hapens. Brokers are supposed to be able to "obtain" shares sold short before the settlement date. Otherwise (and has happened) brokers could sell millions of shares short and force the share price down into oblivion.

Covering here is next to impossible with the volumes of late. Shorters will have a long road to cover and so wil continue to pay interest on borrowed money as well as dividends!
