RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Yup...Shorts will be payingWhen it comes to shorting volume is everything since, as you state, time (timing) matters most. A quick check shows tha the majority of shorts covered on the US side, but not so on the Canadian side. There are over 7 million shares shorted or a little over 2.9% of the free float. It would have been prudent to cover at these levels. But the low volume is not working in their favour. At some point shorters are forced to cover causing a "short squeeze". Brokers call in margins for all sorts of reasons. It doesn't matter, what matters is they do, and when they do shareholders will benefit.
