Those mostly affected are the ones who bought too much house during covid and are a paycheck away from missing a payment. Lucky for them (and overall markets), the Liberal government has mandated the banks to work with them to avoid default by extending mortgage amortizations. Wage and job growth continues to stay elevated and that factored in with the BoC likely dropping rates by Spring should keep us away from any gut wrenching recession.

Canada's recession will continue in 2024 and people arriving in this country will find no opportunities for employment. Blame the politicians who are destroying this country.
