Corporate communications 101 Hello all & happy 2024!
For mutiple reasons. ( family & personal health), I do hope 2024 is a better year.
On to Onc, afterall this is an Onc chat site.
Lots of discussions lately around trying to communicate & lack of feedback from Onc.
Including an aledged conversation regarding Andrew G departure & various USA office situations.
First I have been around the investment world since 1978. Being in the working business world since 1977.
Corporate disclosure regarding employees?
The employment or end of employment is considered personal & confidential.
Companies simply can not & will not disclose details. Exceptions? If there is already public knowledge ie various items in the news.
Even at that. When various public figures are let go for obvious reasons. That is usually glossed over, " he/ she & the company have reached a decision & he/ she is no longer with the company"
Details are confidential.
Regarding the office. A quick search does show it to be up for lease, available Feb 1st.
Imho that information is relevant.
Now, in a NDA blackout, they can not even confirm or deny there is or is not a black out.
A very difficult position to be in, when everyone is demanding explanations.
Regarding sending emails & getting responses?
That is 100% depending on what questions you are asking.
They can not & will not disclose anything , being predictions , estimates etc etc.
That is not already in public knowledge via SEDAR or other type of media.
Meaning, just because you ask, does not allow them to break public disclosure rules.
Afterall, that would give the caller " insider information".
With the above mentioned personl health reasons, I have not given a lot of resd to the recent " update".
With any communication, one needs to understand context, what is said & most important what is not said.
My quick glance? It all could be derived from the corporate website. Either in the various categories or the pdf corporate presentation.
The N.R. Is/ was a summery of what is already known.
so, the mystery continues.
One thing iim certain of. There will be more updates & not too far off.
Could be as far off as Q4, yr end. I do doubt that howevr.
in the wait time. Lots & lots of confusion & doubt, creating an ultra low SP.
I had some loose change & bought some more today.
There is enough science & potential upside to validate the risk. IMHO
