New on campus lacationLONDON, ON, Jan. 8, 2024 /CNW/ - Odd Burger Corporation ("Odd Burger" or the "Company") (TSXV: ODD) (OTCQB: ODDAF) (FSE: IA9) is pleased to announce that it has signed a franchise agreement with Western University ("Western") in London, Ontario, making this the Company's first on-campus location in a post-secondary educational institution.
The new location is expected to open late January 2024, in the University Community Centre ("UCC") Food Hub. The UCC Food Hub is Western's busiest food court, with approximately 8,000 students eating there daily during the school year.
Odd Burger will be Western's first 100% plant-based eatery and the opening will provide a significant step towards furthering Western's sustainability initiatives. The Western location will offer an extensive menu including plant-based burgers, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, loaded fries, salads and dairy-free milkshakes all at prices comparable to other fast food chains.
"As a Western alumni, this is a particularly proud moment for me," says James McInnes, CEO and Co-Founder of Odd Burger. "It's such an amazing opportunity to now partner with Western and give so many future leaders the chance to experience delicious fast food that's also better for the planet and animals."
"We are very excited to bring Odd Burger on campus and give our students a truly unique food experience," says Colin Porter, Director of Hospitality Services at Western University. "We see this partnership as an important step in making Western's food offerings more sustainable, while also proving that plant-based food can be enjoyed by everyone."
