RE:RE:RE:Honda

RE:RE:RE:HondaAgreed. A news item like that would not be circulating unless it is pretty much a fait accompli, with higher level negotiations between gov't and Honda to iron out specifics.

CNC has too much good going for it. It is in a mining friendly district, with available experienced workforce, with developers hungry to step in and expand housing. That's all just local. Knock-on effects for small businesses? An economic winner for the city and region.

From a political optics perspective, it has the potential to make Ford's gov't look good, that he "cares" about northern Ontario. It gives a boost to MPP Pirie as well. The Ford gov't is obviously vested in cementing Ontario as some sort of battery supply chain / EV hub. It is doubtful they will spare any expense when it comes to the showdown to get things going. It also grants them a bit of leverage to get some subsidy leverage from the Feds.

In terms of CNC, there is still exploration going on. The FS of Crawford is one thing, but what about Texmont, Mann, Reid, etc.? If calculations on NPV and IRR are based solely on one of the properties, then we might anticipate the full package being worth a lot more. Sure, it may cost nore as well, but then with a good chunk of ownership by Anglo and Agnico, it lends a bit more credibility to the project(s).

Perhaps not long after the offtake announcement and likely Auramet loan extnesion, we should anticipate a rerate. GLTA.
