tsx performance

tsx performanceI think we should just leave this exchange and focus on the US market. No matter how you look at it, the TSX is underperforming the US markets for the last 50 years, with a strange pattern of correlation : when the US drops, the tsx will follow like a puppy and sometimes with no reason but just to mimic the US markets. Then the US will recover strongly and of course that will not be the case for the tsx. Recap, when investing in canadian market, you'll be exposed to market drop, and won't benefit from market recovers !!!
at least one thing is through, canadian market is suitable for retired relyong on dividende not really focused on the value of their investment. so if're retired or just an income seeking investor, the tsx is yours, but if you want to manage your networth, get away from the tsx
