Spectral Medical Inc. is a Canada-based late-stage theragnostic company advancing therapeutic options for sepsis and septic shock. The Company develops and commercializes a treatment for septic shock utilizing its Endotoxin Activity Assay (EAA) diagnostic and the Toraymyxin therapeutic (PMX). Great point that's often overlooked. 

it's not just life itself, but Quality of Life, - post Septic Shock. Reduced Vasdopressors, reduced ventilation, reduced damage to vital organs  

Insurance Companies and or families could justify the expense of PMX on just that alone. 

The Trial, rightly or wrongly focusses on 28-day mortality... almost ignoring this huge benefit to survivors.
