For some provinces.........transition to green energy will be difficult; but instead will be part of the mix.
Baseload power improvements will be required in Alberta. Other provinces can rely on hydro, but not in Alberta. Capital Power's Genesee 1&2 Power plant conversion continues. From natural gas and coal mix to natural gas only with carbon capture.
I noticed even with the above, battery storage will be installed.
To backup solar/wind or deal with peak demand, best to import power. Last year BC imported power from Alberta. This year, Alberta imported power from BC.
