From my experience, significant news on any stock impacts the trading in a way that is not necessarily influenced by overall market.  Also, on any market up or down day, there will be stocks that are down or up since the market is an index.  


Hope this helps in providing some encouragement that PYR does not have to automatically drop on a day when the market is down.
