Canopy Growth had CA$1.05b of debt in June 2023, down from CA$1.46b, one year before. However, it does have CA$573.0m in cash offsetting this, leading to net debt of about CA$472.1m. This company is working hard to get out of debt. They are making good.decisions. Many good sales.and new products since the above news.
Yes, there is the cash factor to consider but I would still recommend each and every person with either a short or long position on the stock to do their own research and make a rough estimate as to where they think the Feb 9 QTR report will land in terms of debt and sales figures. I will assure everyone that their "guess / estimate" will be off by some amount however the exerise is worthwhile as it gets folks out of the mindset that relying on a Stock Forum or Article for research is "safe".
I myself have gotten taken in by articles that were either "super positive" or "super negative" in the cases where I was mislead by these careless / inaccurate articles I bought earlier than I should of or sold much earlier than I should of. Each case either cost me time or it cost me money, neither I appreciate losing.
A above comment is a big factor in why I always use extended timelines and the Dollar Cost Averaging approach now. It is simply the "safest" (relatively speaking) means to play the market.
