Wow over 600 views Longrunner? That's crazy views for SH even when they were its peak! years ago! Either something went haywire with the platform & algos or someone posted your comments with a link on twitter or reddit......lol

As for the comments above.......Definitely YES.......Birchcliff was a distinct & VERY likely TO candidate for Arc right upto about this week.......until that prospect was shot completely down & thrown out the window. Why aren't they a potential candicate anymore? Because if you  read between the lines in Birch's operational update, released this week and the proceeding interview on BNN Bloomberg by that foolish Ceo, you fully understand why it's highly unlikely now.

If you can manage to get your hands on that BNN interview, its VERY telling of where these fools at Birch intend to go by their response & body laguage at the 10:30 mark of that discussion. When they were flatly asked ouright regarding M&A and that possibility. So can bascially scratch thme off that list for Arc and any other acquirer. Unless......unless they go the "hostile" route, which is a no no in Canada and something that hasn't been done in YEARS in the Canadian O&G scene. The last few attempts were utter failures and they don't work out to well.

I mean is still "technically" possible that someone MIGHT try, but imho, highly unlikely with the Canadians. These guys aren't like Americans or the Texans which are on the ball & understand what has to be done, and the Canadians are so far behind on that front, totally lost, its not even funny anymore. I think Arc's best options or target at this point, would be either Paramount or Nuvista. Both have what Arc mgmt is looking for in in terms of assets for M&A, but both carry their advantages & disadvantages.

For Arc, its highly probable they make one deal this year, they're due to make one, the only question is WHO? And those are the two most likely candidates who would entertain such an overture......if the price is right! and Arc desperately needs to make one soon, if they wish to stay ahead of their peers and compete with the big boys!
