RE:RE:RE:Bombardier wins court case against supplier Honeywell When memory suppliers colluded to overcharging PC clients in the 90's notably DELL, they were pursued by the US Dept of Justice and the Competition Bureau got involved as well. They lost, there may have been jail time for some execs at some suppliers, big fines were levied, and there was a class action lawsuit as well. 

The govt has powers that private lawsuits companies don't have ie they can go fishing under the guise of competition or other statutes.

Like a customer can supply his cost info. but they won't know what others are or were paying. But govt can collect that info from all suppliers and they'll be able to see the difference...

This is a can of worms for sure that Honeywell must be desperate to put the lid back on. Imagine if this went beyond that particular supplier...
