CSS insitu is first generation.
SAGD insitu is second generation.
All the other solvent assisted as a group is third generation, now generically called SA-SAGD or similar.
When commercials, AXE CTI RFXL is fourth generation.
At one time IMO and other CSS operators had graphics of their CSS on their website, but no more. Probably have to dig to find.
In general CSS injects high pressure steam into a reservoir via a vertical well for a period of time, steam is then rerouted to another well (so in other words steam off), the well then becomes a producer. Much more complex than SAGD.
