RE:RE:RE:RE:Still picking on IMO Cold Lake

RE:RE:RE:RE:Still picking on IMO Cold LakeThe C$10M ERA funding to an IMO C$100M project was called CSProcess
I beleive upon commercialization its now called LASER (I'll look it up later) which is solvent injection via modern horizontal pipe (I guess services several vertical CSS wells).

So, no it does not use the existing CSS vertical wells.

LASER a bolt on to their (IMO (in my opinion, ha) much inefficient) Cyclic Steam Stimulation (when compared to SAGD)

Bottom line for me, this Cold Lake insitu has >3,000  wells producing >40 years inefficently, probably has many more left.  IMO could buy a demo CTI RFXL to test if it works in this reservoir/geology.  If successful, IMO i.m.o. should upgrade to modern more efficient CTI RFXL for its next 40 years (100 years) producing life.

12x CTI RFXL 10K systems could cover this brown field.property.to keep it at 128k bopd rate
