BULLSEYE ? ( several kinds of copper in, Yukon ) Well whadaya know...
There's more kinds of copper than just, sulphide in, Yukon.
Malachite
Chrysocolla ****
Bornite
Chalcocite
Covelite
Bornite
So why are juniors so agressive " pitching " sulphide minerals ?
When... there are other minerals that are not sulphides ?
Heck...
even the Minto mine has various copper ores.
What's the closest mine to Wellgreen
with various copper ores ?
CANALASK
Same Kluane Range as Wellgreen !
Here's a list of other yukon mines with a variety of copper ore.
So..does Wellgreen only host chalcopyrite ?
lol

Main Link to Mines in, Yukon - various copper ores https://www.mindat.org/locentries.php?m=1040&p=8188 Wellgreen has extensive AQUA color - all about it's surface.
First guess was... Malachite.
What other copper color does it resemble ? ( may not be )
CHRYSOCLLA COPPER SILICATE https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9f/Chrysocolla-122814.jpg/100px-Chrysocolla-122814.jpg
Now... i don't know what that mineral is atop Wellgreen's surface.
But what i do know now is....
There's more than one type of copper in Yukon, and just up the road on
same range as wellgreen, Canalask former mine hosted several kinds of copper.
YET.... Canalask is preaching the same " sulphide " game as Stillwater and NCP.
I'm happy i searched this out.
Could explain the phase 2 met tests ending with, 18% copper.
When...it was only meant to separate copper from nickel.
CLUE - nickel's end concentrate remained bout same from original bulk grade.
While copper - increased exponentially.
My thoughts are - phase 2 might have revealed higher copper grade ore...?

Simply... change the other minerals that are
non sulphide to ----- > sulphide
using sulphuric acid.
Ha.
Wellgreen Photo From the very first time i looked at this photo, i questioned -
What is that that mineral oxidizing, it's everywhere - can't be in the sulphide group.
It's too aqua green.
