The reason why Im harping about the election

Is because its rare for a non-government body (the fed) to have such a meanginful impact over a important facade of society- the borrowing rate, which is very impactful to the average joe particularly the working class.  5.5% is the highest in 20 years and very restrictive.   It should rightfully be a death blow to the incubent president, high rates and inflation over target is simply not acceptable.  The victory lap needs to be done- if not "for real" then manipulated as such!
