Tilray Insider Ownership

Tilray Insider OwnershipFor a time, Tilray stopped providing Insider Ownership details - it would seem even they were embarrassred by the lack of Insider Ownership.

Insiders are the ones who are charged with  running the company - if they don't have confidence enough to invest in the company, why on the world would an average joe retail investor risk his?

However, there HAS been some insider buying - about enough to still be an embarrassing small amount - but the fact remains:

Insiders have Direct Ownership of approx 9,046,515 Common Shares - it's less than .01% of the total float.
BUT to make matters worse, two insiders own a combined total of 8,257,254 of those shares - and Kennedy ALONE holds 6.2 million.

The other 7 owning a grand total of 789,261 between them.

Follows are the Insider Ownership numbers as found on TD Waterhouse - Ink Research:

Faltischek           293,269
Mitchell               195,796
Simon              2,033,058
Butts                     46,007
Clanachan            46,007
Hopkinson            77,793
Kennedy          6,224,196
Looney                  81,332
Herhart                 49,057

At $25 million USD a year in compensation - Irwin Simon makes about $12,000 an hour (assuming he works a 40 hour week)

While he recently bought approx. 50,000 shares - let's say at $2,00 USD a share, for a $100,000 investment, Simon would have to have worked ONE DAY to earn enough investors money to buy those shares.

You are misled if you believe Tilray insiders own any sizable amount of shares in the company.
