What is EBITDA? Basically, it's a non-GAAP calcualtion performed internally by the company's own accountants - NOT the external audiots.
It's NOT a recognized calculation and varies from company to company which has become a standard measure for unprofitable cannabis companies to show something positive - as a counter to staggering Net Losses - such as reported by Tilray.
The short story is - as explained by Warren Buffet who also refuses to use it or recognize it as a legitmate calcualtion - is that the company 'backs out' enough expenses to arrive at a positive number.
Do NOT be misled by a bookeeper's trick or those that would lead you to believe it's of any importance. Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow - don't bother with 'ebitda'.
