RE:V.DM Post-It note, or Nokia N-Gage momentsamydude wrote: This rests all with CEO Park now, "Leveraging my extensive experience in the e-gaming space, we are also exploring various opportunities in this sector, which we believe will open new avenues for growth and innovation. 3M turned a failed glue into the well knwon Post-It note used the world over from failure to profits. Or, will this new shift be the Nokia N-Gage a handheld game system that could also make calls and send texts. While that sounds common now, but wasn't in 2003. On paper, this device seems like it would have been a slam dunk, but in reality, it was an airball.
So now which will it be success from failure, or just plain old failure? Oh look! more spaghetti thrown at the wall. Watch and see if any of it sticks.
Well, gaming is HUGE and generates boatloads of money.
Park could well be right on with this. Looks like DM will trade
a billion shares ( across all exchanges ) today which suggests to me
that there is investor interest in this path. Gaming might be the niche
DM is looking for to bring in lot's of positive cash flow going forward.
This plus profits from health care. I wouldn't be in a hurry to write DM
off just yet. We shall see.
