There were no bids for it as an operating entity and Laurentian didn't want to sell just their loan and deposit book. No bids for it as an operating entity means the people that looked at it gave it a zero book value, except for the net difference of loans versus deposits. You can put all the lipstick you want on this pig, but like my Dad always said, never try to teach a pig to dance, it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.
