RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Canopy Press Release - New Product Line LaunchMost people that I know that own stocks had added some cannabis to their portfolio during the big run up back then.
People were calling their brokers and asking then to add some weed stocks.
Everyone who didn't pay attention and sell at some point obviously lost a lot, which was pretty much everyone.
I had so much into it that I was watching and trading every day depending on the news.
Few would tolerate any negative opinion about their precious stock.
One guy threatened to assault me if I said anything more about his precious aurora.
People in the forum were asking me if they should sell canopy when it was around $10 ($100 pre-split) and I said absolutely!
Back then the forums were so busy that it was actually possible to affect the sp by relentlessly hyping a stock.
I did it with cron, or whatever they were called back then.
I saw groups of pumpers focus on a stock for a quick profit and I rode their tailwind, being sure to get out when I could see them doing the same.
Of course shorts made a killing.
There was insider trading that probably never got investigated.
You could easily tell by the selling that took place right before bad news and buying before good news.
The govt is screwing everyone with their minimum dollar per gram tax.
Obviously going long on any of the cdn cannabis stocks was a bad strategy.
The question is, at these dismal levels should you bother to sell now.
What's the use, if your investment has fallen 95%, may as well keep going you haven't got much more to lose.
Just remember, if someone says you don't lose until you sell, never trust their advice.
If someone posts that it will go up to some high price, don't believe it.
Always pay attention to negative comments, they are often a sign that something's not right, and you should be looking deeper into the financials and be looking at the competition and news.
Have an exit strategy.
So if you double or triple your investment, get out and work out a new plan, that also has an exit strategy.
It's greed and stubborness that gets you.
Forget about the warren buffet patience thing, that only works for industries that are well established.
Cannabis is like the wild west, very speculative, volatile.
