Bell Media Has Been A Drag, for ages! Time to Dump it.

Bell Media Has Been A Drag, for ages! Time to Dump it.With the departure of Oosterman last October, it has taken Cohan and his crew four months to make a move.  I suspect this is just a beginning;  or at least one hopes.
NEWS
Say I turn on my TV to watch the day's news at 6pm and tune in to CTV Toronto.  It is almost always an unmitigated hodge podge of stabbings, shootings, gang violence, home invasions, extortions, domestic violence, 401 crashes, spats between Olivia & Doug, or between Bonnie & Doug, some shadow boxing between Jay Tee and Pea.Pea, and of course the dreary reportage on the perennially deciduous maple leaves.
Are they proposing to  stretch this one hour emetic into a four hour horror show every  night?  One hopes and prays not.
Let's face it,  Canadian "news" is boring.  I can usually find something more amusing on the two dodgering old codgers south of the border whom few seem to want as leaders but all are content to debate why.
In my humble opinion BCE should be on the look out for suitable billionaires with giant egos and dump this entire business, news, sports,  the entire k&k.
And invest in R&D.   Remember Bell Northern?  We used to be the leaders in innovation. Are we content today to simply tag along with innovations made by others such as GOOG, MSFT, AMZN, AAPL  etc?
Let's hope we have learned from our past mistakes where, for instance,  for a while the "news" about the hair colour of a fired news anchor got more hits than the news she actually used to read every night.
Just some thoughts.
Cheers.

BTW
Today was a good opportunity if your piggybank was rattling some loose coin.  Last October I bought some at $51 and out at just under $55.  Without touching the core holding of course.
Just wish they'd bring back the 2% discounted drip.
