Recently I was at a seminar where I heard examples of boomers holding back the younger generation with innovative solutions because they are stuck in their old ways and uncomfortable making changes so close to retirement.
And by the way, the fact that we have not had an appointment now for over 3 months speaks to not having had a succession plan in place. Putting the next exec in place as interim is not really a plan but rather default.
