CATLThe giant Chinese battery manufacturer is being encouraged to get out of Dodge by the U.S. government.
ELVA had a huge day on the U.S. side both on volume and percentage.
It was announced that Duke energy is being forced to dismantle and replace the recently installed battery storage units produced by CATL, at a U.S. Marine base.
The Chinese government has very close ties to CATL, and this is considered to be a serious security issue. It could threaten the grid.
I have no idea as to whether this announcement is what may be having an effect on the price of ELVA..
I'd like to think so.
DUKE will have to source its storage units from an approved source.
I don't know how many North American battery manufacturers can fulfill this need, but, Electrovaya may well be in the running.
