RE:RE:RE:Potential Minto Buyer...We do know Granite Creek put in a bid and we know why. GC owns everything in a straight path along the Minto Belt south of the actual mine. But unless GC had a major involved, I believe GC's bid would be rejected. It would need to be a major, or someone with a working relationship with a major. I'm sure Rio knows much more about grid progress than we do. If grid progress looks good, Rio may take a position on Minto to fend off competitors. Agnico and Kinross are in the neighborhood. Eventually, one dominant force will control Boardwalk in the Monopoly game of the Yukon. I wouldn't be surprised if Rio didn't bid. One more acheivement for Rio to add to their name card when they knock on Ottawa.
