Recovery of Pine Cove Tailings will be 97%Previously, I have posted examples in which over 97% of the gold fines contained in tailings ponds were recovered.
Here is another example in which recovery was 97.46%

Being very heavy , gold fines in sand discharge as slurry is pumped into the tailings ponds from the mill, compacts and consolidates at the bottom of the pond.
Typically, this will be about 1-2 meters in thickness with the water floating on top .
The water is being continuously piped back to the mill and reused .
The major issue in recovery is separating the gold sediment from the slurry being pumped back to the mill.
There are many solutions to this process including gravity separation.
Taken together with other information, everything that I have read indicates that recovering gold from the Pine Cove tailings Pond will be very successful , with very high margins and robust cash flows..
