TransparencyThere is another (very small) thing that I think is indicative of THNK's general tendency against transparency.
Many companies, paritculalry foreign companies that don't have a Canadian office, use a Canadian law firm as their registered address. This is legal requirement that ensures companies operating in Canada can recieve lawsuits, communications from regulatory agencies, etc.
I noticed that when THNK gave up their lease and went virtual, they started showing a Bay Street address on their webstire -- specifically 199 Bay Street, Suite 4000. That is the address of the law firm that THNK uses (Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP).
Of course it is entirely fine for THNK to use their law firm as their legally-mandated registered address. What I find interesting is that there is no inidcation on the website that this is anything other than an operating office address. For example, they havne't put somehting like "c/o Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP"...instead, the way the address is presented on the webiste, you would think that SA and team are sitting at the corner of Bay and King.
It would be easy for them to just provide an email address, and then inicate that their address for service is c/o Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP.
Again, it's a very small thing but I think it's indicative to THNK's general attitude on transparency.
