RE:Getting closeKasking I was starting to wonder about
TheBridge's promised "Big Bar Buffet" event too. Hate to say it, but his projected costs keep climbing; even a few shareholders are already referring to the next AGM as Bridge's Triple-B Rally. Guessing that Motley Fool blurb might have tipped the scales.
Going to take a few
Bonus Rounds to keep him in the black........................
There's a story going around about a Gentleman Gambler travelling by horseback, roaming the outskirts of Edmonton by day and harvesting loot from the town's poker rooms by night.
Where it gets interesting is the said origins of his poker bankroll.... The mysterious adventurer started out with an unassuming $20 NHL wager, December 21st, Oilers to beat the NJ Devils.... The winnings from each successful bet were then parlayed in-full each game for the next 16 straight matchups.
They say that winnings tallied somewhere north of seven-figures. In later rounds the wagers became so large that he had a few of his crew open separate betting accounts so that game #15's and #16's parlays would be accepted by bookmakers in-full.
This fellow also seemed quite clever, it was mentioned that his poker superstitions would not allow him to wager against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Well, we know what came next........................ The Edmonton Oilers win streak was finally ended, game #17 vs the Golden Knights in Vegas, but not before this Gentleman cleaned out a few small-time sportsbooks on his way to folk hero status throughout card rooms in central Alberta.
I've been watching the volumes on GH to see if he decided to increase his stake - no block trades yet, so he may still be haunting regional hot spots in recent days.
Good thing GH doesn't have any properties in and around Edmonton; wouldn't want to worry about him derailing our Q1 2024.
Let me know if you hear anything, I think this guy will drive the share price north of $10 when he decides to start buying. Some know that he often tucks away half of his winnings to eventually be re-invested into GH shares. Haven't seen any BNN coverage yet, the fast-money crowds on Bay Street likely won't hear this story until we're at $15.
Hey Bridge, if it helps, I can pay for my own appetizer and refreshment.
Wonder if we should book ahead.......
Cheers guys!

Getting close to 10 bucks, the magic number for the Bridge to open
up his wallet & get ready for the AGM...
Maybe we should help out to reach that number or will get there on its own ?
