RE:RE:Interesting influencial tradeSorry, i'm not there. Transactions are done electronically. Maybe, you had a timing problem for your transaction. If not, call your broker.
Look at the trade I write about. The investor invest 1,2 M$ in a flat market at idle. Last week, he failed but this time he succeed (maybe, not the same). If the market would be active the investment needed would have been 8, 10, 15 millions $. In a 100 000 shares traded per hour market, they have to invest consequent volumes. It's another kind of decision, another scale.
The company is in a positive operational trend for 3 years now (profits, volume, forecasts etc), and in a positive biz jet market. So, it's a matter of time that the SP will reflex that. In 3 months, in 10 months, I don't know, i'm only sure that there strong probability that will happens. So, if my influencial buy of shares failed today, I own an investment that will eventually go up. The risk for 1,2 M$ is reasonnable and if it failed, I only have to wait.
Last thing, In the last year, the share traded between 40$ and 74$. At 51 $ i'm at the low end, Buying shares at these prices, the risk is on my side.
What if I want to scale down the shares in an active market the opposite way.:
Last thursday, the volume was 3,4 M shares traded for 150 M$. The selloff start at 51.00$ and went fast under 50$. To be influencial a trader had to dump 300 k, 500 000 shares between 48$ and 51$ ( only a low volume was over 50$) to buy them back later.
But these shares came from somewhere. Did he buy them at 50$, 60$ or 70$ ????
The operational trend is positive for Bombardier the shares traded between 40$ and 74$ in the past 12 months, the probability is not on the side of a decrease of the SP. If he miss the buy back, there no net.
Selling 500, 000 shares paid at higher price, to buy them later in these conditions ? to make 3 or 4$ ?
Forget the10$ profit you wrotes last week, they have to sell at lost shares before buy back them. The profit stop between 48$ and 50$, the price got for the selling, not at 55$.
So, is it impossible that occurs; no but it's unprobable. I'm not sure that it's the best bet to do with 15-20 M$. And from who? an individual, no. A fund maybe; but If the fund manager fail to buy back the shares traded, what will he explain to its board. Is that worth the risk ?
The results included enough to be deceptive for some; the scale of the selloff surprised me but not the selloff itself.
- Bombardier for the first time admit that it had a supplier problem, enough to change its product mix.
- The FCF will be lower delaying the deleveraging by one year, an better credit score too, a buy back shares program too, a dividend too..
