The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. Housing starts is the lowest since covid 2020 (April) and the lowest level for January since Jan 2019.

There is a significant disconnect between homes under construction and housing starts. When these units reach completion, the current rate of housing starts is much lower than the current homes under construction. This will lead to layoffs in the construction sector unless housing starts and building permits ramp up. Multi family homes is keeping the construction industry alive and that's going to take some time to complete.
