RE:Another 18 mo or 5 yrs ?In order for management (shareholders) to sell we need a reasonable price. For the sake of discussion, let's assume $6.00 US. That's 6X what it is now. Rio knows that's what it's worth & WRN won't sell for less. Problem is the market doesn't agree. We (both Rio & WRN) need the SP to increase to $4.00 so that an acceptable premium can be added and presto! - We're all happy. So the question is "How do we (both Rio & WRN) get the share price to $4.00? Copper going to $5.00 & gold to $2,500 will help. Competative tension will help. Commitment on the grid will help.
I believe we need all 3. Here's how I see it possibly playing out over the next 12 - 18 months. Copper goes up because everyone in the world believes that it will. Commitment to the grid extension will be announced, not just because Casino needs it. Because all resource development in the Yukon needs it, but even more important the Yukon needs it for themselves anyway. The mining sector just helps it along as it makes a case for doing it more reasonable and reduces the cost for the Yukon as the miners would become consumers or customers. Again, good for all. Lastly with the last two conditions being met I believe that other mid tiers or majors would be more interested in Casino & more likely to compete for it. It seems counter intuitive but Rio actually needs someone else to compete for it in order to move the SP enough that we would even sell it to them. As I've stated before, this project would be more easily sold if it were held privately. It could be sold based on it's NPV and not what a dysfunctional market says it's worth. Thanks for letting me vent guys & gals!
