RE:What's next for Lassonde? What companies are our there to acquire? I don't think there are many options. Many are already owned by the Majors or private equity. Ocean Spray, Welch's are cooperatives. Looks like they want to an acquisition in the specialty group, but not aware of companies available that would move the needle.
Lassonde is looking to grow to $3 Billion in sales by 2026.
Would a company like Andrew Peller (ADW-A.TO) make sense for merger or acquisition? This would complete the beverage portfolio and establish dominate market share in Canada in the wine and alcoholic beverage market. Are there enough synergies and scale to justify a purchase? Add $400 million in sales per year. New product offerings? Sparkling, non alcoholic juice?
Both companies have dual class share structure. If Lassonde wants to grow in the wine, alcoholic beverage segment, this would be the time to do it.
