RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Climate Crisis Brewing in the DRC...? Agree climate change will affect mining companies in countries world-wide, not just African nations.
The point of my initial post on this thread is that the vast majority of people in the DRC still live in extreme poverty and the natural disasters and disease that occur there due to climate change (likely with increased frequency and intensity going forward) hit them even harder than people living in wealthier nations, thus increasing the possibility of pressure being put on the federal government to provide much more funding to relieve this suffering or risk be removed from office and replaced by one which will insist that more of the country's natural resource wealth be transferred to its citizens, not just for disaster relief, but to improve living conditions for the tens of millions of people across the country who continue to suffer in extreme poverty, not just the small select areas of the nation where IVN operates. I suspect what IVN may currently contribute to improve the lives of other citizens throughout the nation is just a drop in the bucket vs. the kind of basic infrastructure, education, job opportunities, etc. that is needed for citizens there to live even a decent life.
P.S. PotAdvisor, please continue to type your posts in all caps - it's so much more effective in getting across whatever repetitive nonsense you ramble on about.
