RE:BIR execs letting me downAstute move to exercise options and crystalize hundreds of thousands of dollars in gains on a stock that they recognize is overvalued in today's market. Depressing to see though, for sure. Quite a shame they don't manage the business quite as astutely given the current backdrop. Way too high a dividend and an unwillingness to hedge is not good stewardship of shareholder capital. Nothing profound there. I wish I would have known that JT was so incredibly stubborn and unwavering when I committed capital to Birchcliff, but at least I've been able to hedge some of my position, so I'm not as exposed perhaps as the average investor. Anyway, if there isn't a notable improvement in pricing or sentiment towards NG between now and May, or the BOD doesn't recognize that the status quo isn't the only potential path forward then the AGM could yield some interesting voting results. Perhaps the last AGM for Mr Tonken. I will certainly be casting my shares' votes against his re-election.
