The fatal flaw in my logic stems from my failure to understand that my information service evidently categorizes "marketable securities" as "short-term investments." I always considered "short-term investments" to include items such as certificates of deposit and other highly liquid items, and not marketable securities, which can go to zero in a flash.
On the bright side Teuton's balance sheet will benefit tremendously when Tudor's market price ascends to a value reflecting its great achievement at Treaty Creek, but I also suppose that the market for junior miners is fairly moribund right now and it will take some time before the desperate hunt for replacement reserves places Treaty Creek in the crosshairs.
